Each round of the competition you will be paired with a random partner and dance to a random song selected by our DJ. The top couples have a chance to win exciting prizes!

Space is limited: we will only be accepting 10-15 competitors per division.
Competitors must have a Full Pass for the Nova Dance Fest to be eligible.
What is a Jack & Jill Competition?
A Jack & Jill competition is a freestyle dance competition where participants are paired off with a random partner and compete against other couples in a social dancing competition.
This is an open-level competition, meaning dancers of all levels will compete against each other. Artists that are being paid by the Nova Dance Fest are not allowed to participate.
There will be two divisions of competition, one for Salsa and one for Bachata.
Each round competitors will be paired off randomly with a partner, and dance to a random song selected by the DJ.
There will be 3 rounds of dancing, and the last couple remaining will be declared the winner of the division.
Afterwards, the 1st place winners of the Salsa & Bachata divisions will face off in an Ultimate Championship showcasing both dance styles, with the chance to win more prizes!
Competition Schedule
The Jack & Jill competition will be held on Sunday, September 7th in the main ballroom.
4:30pm – 5:30pm: Bachata competition
5:30pm – 6:30pm: Salsa competition
6:30pm – Ultimate Championship
Competition Rules

- A Full pass or a day pass(Sunday) is required for participation. You are not allowed to participate as competitor with just a night pass. However, you can participate as an audience.
- Dancers of ALL LEVELS are welcome. Artists who are getting paid by the Nova Dance Fest are not allowed to compete.
- No partner is required for registration. You will be judged as individuals during the preliminary rounds and as a couple during final rounds.
- People of any gender or sexual identification can participate in any role (lead/follow).
Participants are judged by expert artists chosen by organizers. Their decisions will be final.
